Alain Mathot, Mayor

The Mayor is the commune’s senior magistrate. He automatically presides over the Communal Council and the Communal College.

Seraing’s mayor is responsible for:

  • Commune staff.
  • Public safety.
  • The administrative police.
  • Presiding over the police council.
  • The legal service.
  • Equal opportunities.

Seraing’s mayor also supervises:

  • Communication,
  • The budget and finances.
